Genset Hire For Cabin Site Office
We provide generator rental and sale for cabin site offices that do or do not have power supply from the Main incoming. This is done through a series of ATS (automatic transfer switch) connections or direct connections.
Site cabin offices are often located at construction sites that are built from zinc sheets or using a 20 or 40 footer container with inbuilt wiring and electrical appliances. This includes the lights, air conditioning and windows inside the cabin office. More often than not, there aren’t electricity supply at such locations. Therefore a diesel generator would need to be procured so that electricity supply can be supplied to the cabins.
GENERATOR SIZE
The generator size would vary depending on the power requirement. If you have several units of air conditioning inside a 40 footer container office, you would need at least a 60kVA Generator. This is a typical size for a construction site office. However if you have more equipments to power, the next reasonable size would be a 100kVA. We usually don’t recommend going above this size because of the diesel consumption that may be too costly in the long run.
If you only have a 20 footer container with one unit of air conditioning you can consider a 20kVA generator for rental. This should be sufficient in most cases unless you have additional power tools to power outside the cabin.
AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH?
The question is: should you get a generator with Automatic Transfer Switch built in? The answer is YES if you have or am expecting electricity supply from the grid.
